The Pass the Page's
Mission

WHAT WE EXIST FOR
Literacy
We started this initiative with the hope of helping children across South East Asia. How? Through the infinitely necessary knowledge and education that books can provide. At more economically advantaged international schools like the Canadian International School (CIS), we often don’t appreciate the agency and empowerment that can be provided by books. Therefore, we at Pass the Page aim to take used and unwanted (but gently used) textbooks and storybooks from CIS, our school, and deliver them to children who need it across South East Asia, as far as we can – under the umbrella of our school excursions, our own initiative, and the help of our ever-loyal volunteers.
OUR START
August 2024
Three students from Canadian International School Singapore (CIS) started Pass the Page, a service initiative with a simple goal: to give used and unwanted books a new life in the hands of those who need them most. So far, we’ve delivered numerous books to Thailand, focusing on providing educational support to rural and underserved communities where access to reading materials is limited. Through the generosity of teachers, students and families across the CIS community, we have been able to donate almost 100 books, helping many underprivileged children actualize their educational goals, inspiring a love for reading across borders.
